This year Gateshead council have asked all parents to reapply for their children’s home to school transport before 30th June 2025. Letters were sent out recently in the post .

They have had to ask this of parents due to the following reasons:

• Moved address without informing travel care when they would have needed to reapply, some letters have been sent back to us already and then we have had to contact the parent to identify when they moved and if still eligible
• Telephone contact numbers for parents no longer in use
• Personal Transport budgets being under review

Please be aware...

If no application is received by the last week in August 2025 then home to school transport will not be in place for when the students return after the summer holidays.
